iBook (white)
LACK OF EXTERNAL MONITOR SUPPORT: Yes, it's true, you cannot use an Apple monitor (you can use other external monitors, just not the ones Apple makes) with the iBook. No joke. Now imagine if it did support Apple monitors and has closed screen support. You could be carrying around this light little wonder, sit down at your desk, plug in the display, close the lid, slide the machine under the keyboard and work with a big wonderful monitor. Best of both worlds- truly portable, truly workable :)
Aluminium 12"
CABLES ON SIDES: The cables all come out on the sides, which I personally find a bit messy and which makes it hard to sit with it on your lap with your legs folded.
HEAT: Some users find that the machine gets too hot to have on their lap.
Titanium 15"
Nothing so far. Bit heavy maybe...
Aluminium 17"
Nothing so far. Hey, I've only tried it for a few minutes at MacWorld! MacUser writes that it's not really convenient as a use-anywhere machine, it's more like a portable desktop. Not sure if that's a blunder :-)
No Sub-Notebook
NO SUB NOTE-BOOK Those who do not want to lug around a supercomputer, such as the Titanium (which is light for its power) but who just want to do some emailing, web surfing, maybe write a little in .their word processor and view a couple of spreadsheets but who care about weight, have no Apple product to fill their needs. The iBook is nice, but not that much lighter than the Titanium.
